Picente To Washington, Representing NYSAC at National Council of County Association Executives (NCCAE) and the State Association Presidents & Executive Directors Meeting

County Executive Picente will be on hand to discuss national strategies for Transportation, Infrastructure, Legislative priorities and other topics effecting Counties with a National Perspective

On Friday County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Jr. along with NYSAC Executive Director will be attending the National Council of County Association Executives (NCCAE) and the State Association Presidents & Executive Directors Meeting January 8th and 9th.

“I look forward to representing my State and County.  Also, this is an exciting opportunity to share best practices that we have implemented here in Oneida County that can be a model nationwide as well as learning new ideas from other counties that can also be implemented here at home” Said County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr.

The two day conference will include informational sessions and meeting to discuss the most pressing issues facing Counties at the national level and state to state.  On the two day agenda are informational meetings on a range of topics, including major issues such as transportation and infrastructure.

Also included is a sessions on the National Association’s strategic plan to tackle issues facing counties as well as meetings on the Association’s national legislative agenda.

Picente went to say “As we all know, what happens in Washington has a direct effect on us here locally.  This Legislative agenda will help every county go back to their representatives in Washington and advocate for legislation that will make governing at the local level less burdensome while simultaneously assisting us in moving forward as a community.”
