Oneida County Office for the Aging Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program

LTCOP (Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program)

Overview

The LTC Ombudsman Program serves as an advocate and resource for persons who reside in long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes and assisted living centers. Ombudsmen help residents and their families understand and exercise their rights through empowering, educating, and advocating. Working with the resident, the Ombudsmen try to resolve and effectively address concerns within the facility which impact health, safety, and quality of life.
