UAS Test Site

Owned and Operated by Oneida County

The New York UAS Test Site is one of seven FAA-Designated UAS Test Sites in the United States.

Owned by Oneida County, the New York UAS Test Site consists of a highly instrumented uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) testing facility at Griffiss International Airport in Rome, NY, and is part of New York’s 50-mile UAS Traffic Management corridor spanning from Rome to Syracuse.

New York’s 50-Mile Drone Corridor facilitates beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) testing and advanced uncrewed aircraft operations. AX Enterprize continues to advance, develop and maintain the radar and technologies throughout the corridor and currently has 35 miles of urban and rural airspace within New York’s 50-mile Drone Corridor approved for BVLOS operations.
