Picente Announces Teen Safety Education Week

PROCLAMATION, COUNTY OF ONEIDA, NEW YORK

WHEREAS:         Stop DWI will be partnering with Oneida County School Districts to offer Teen Education Programs in schools to educate teens on the ways to avoid and the consequences of destructive decisions.

WHEREAS:         April 22nd through April 28th will be Teen Safety and Education Week in Oneida County with a focus on helping children make constructive choices and avoid destructive decisions.

WHEREAS:         Stop DWI and the Oneida County Youth Bureau along with partners from across Oneida county, including High School Baseball Teams will participate in the 2nd Annual High School Baseball Classic aimed at bringing Teen Education Program from the schools to a weekend long educational event for the whole family.

WHEREAS:         Oneida County wishes to thank all the partners of this essential educational program aimed at keeping children safe and assisting them in making constructive choices instead of destructive decisions

WHEREAS:         April is critical month where many schools and teens are participating in Balls, Proms, and other activities where destructive decisions are commonly made we hope to provide our young people with the knowledge necessary to make the right judgments. 
 

       NOW, THEREFORE, I, ANTHONY J. PICENTE, JR.,
ONEIDA COUNTY EXECUTIVE,
DO HEREBY PROCLAIM THE Week OF
April 22nd, 2013, as:

TEEN SAFETY AND EDUCATION WEEK IN ONEDIA COUNTY
And I urge all Oneida County residents to take part in the activitie for
Teen Safety and Education Week
