New York State Sheriff's Association's Civil Deputy of the Year

Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol is pleased to announce that the presentation of the New York State Sheriff's Association's Civil Deputy of the Year was awarded to Lt. Sandra Easton on February 17, 2014 during the New York State Sheriff's Association annual award ceremony currently being held during the Sheriff's Winter Conference in Albany.

Lt. Easton has excelled from graduating top of her class at the police academy in 1993.  Since then, her career involved the reception of numerous awards and commendations from three different Sheriffs.  Sandra was promoted to Lieutenant in 2008 and has brought the Civil Division to a high level of professionalism including the recent New York State Sheriff's Association Civil Division Accreditation in 2013.

The New York State Sheriff's Association Civil Deputy of the Year Award is given to a civil deputy who has exhibited an exceptional degree of dedication and commitment to the professional fulfillment of the important duties of the Sheriff's Office in civil law enforcement.  The award may be based on a specific exceptional event or based upon the nominee's exceptional total career.
