Statement on the Passing of Associate Justice John T. Buckley From Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr.

“Associate Justice Buckley was a fair and wise man who approached his time on the bench with humility and honor. He was a permanent fixture here in Oneida County and an advocate for the region. His time in the Oneida County Courthouse and the NY state Assembly were marked with many achievements that the residents of Oneida County should remember and be proud of. Personally, John was truly a great person that I was honored to call my friend. I’m a better person for having known him. Eleanor and I will miss dearly.”

Oneida County Offices will fly all flags at half-staff in honor of the late Associate Justice John Buckley.
