Oneida County Youth Bureau and Office For Aging Announces Open Sign Up For 5th Annual Intergenerational Spring Clean-Up

Oneida County Youth Bureau and Office for Aging, today, announced that volunteers and participants can sign up for the 5th Annual Intergenerational Spring Clean-Up that will take place the weekend of Saturday April 20th and Sunday April 21st. The clean-up, which takes place during National Volunteer Week, is collaboration between the Oneida County Youth Bureau, the Oneida County Office for the Aging and Continuing Care, Oneida County colleges, school districts and youth organizations. In 2010 the clean-up won the Albany Guardian Society Great Ideas in Aging Community Based Program Award.

The clean-up services will be delivered between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM each day. The goal will be to deliver as many services as possible, depending on the number of volunteers and the number of volunteers in each specific area. THERE WILL BE NO RAIN DATE.

Any youth, youth organization, club or team interested in volunteering for the spring, should contact the Oneida County Youth Bureau at 798-5027. Any senior interested in applying for spring and/or fall clean-up services should contact the Oneida County Office for the Aging and Continuing Care at 798-5456.
