Oneida County STOP DWI Announces Enforcement Crackdown

Crackdown on impaired driving throughout the 4th of July Holiday

The Oneida County STOP DWI Program announced today that Oneida County Police Agencies will participate in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired driving throughout the FOURTH OF JULY HOLIDAY.  The crackdown period will run from July 1 – July 5.

“As we get ready to celebrate America’s birthday and enjoy the beautiful weather, please remember to celebrate responsibly.  Please do your part in keeping our roadways safe”, said, Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente. “Happy Fourth of July have an enjoyable summer and always HAVE A PLAN TO GET HOME SAFELY”!

As part of the FOURTH OF JULY  Crackdown, Oneida County STOP DWI will be partnering with the Whitesboro, Whitestown, Rome, Utica, Yorkville, Vernon and NY Mills Police Departments, as well as the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department and NY State Police.

The Oneida County STOP DWI program received $19,504 from the NYS STOP DWI Foundation through a grant from the Governors’ Traffic Safety Committee, to operate this and other selective crackdowns throughout September 2016.
