PLEASE NOTE: Oneida County-operated vaccination PODs are now administering Pfizer boosters to residents 12 years-old and up.

Here are the Oneida County COVID-19 case numbers as of midnight on Jan. 6.

  • 659 new positive cases, 43,955 total.
  • 5,392 active positive cases.
  • 16.1% positivity rate.
  • 1 new COVID-19-related death, 601 total.
  • 7,239 in mandatory isolation & quarantine.
  • 71 Oneida County residents are hospitalized.
    • 38 unvaccinated/33 vaccinated
    • 51 at MVHS
    • 10 at Rome Health
    • 10 out of county
      • 12 of total hospitalized are in the ICU.
        • 9 unvaccinated/3 vaccinated
      • 3 of total hospitalized are on ventilators.
        • 3 unvaccinated/0 vaccinated
      • 5 of total hospitalized are from long-term care facilities.
        • 0 unvaccinated/5 vaccinated
    • Hospitalization vaccination status by age:
        • 0-12 years-old: 1 unvaccinated/0 vaccinated

        • 20-29 years-old: 3 unvaccinated/2 vaccinated
