Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Jr., announced today that the flags at all Oneida County buildings will be lowered to half-staff through Friday in honor of Judge John Murad. Judge Murad served our community as a Judge for over 35 years as a Utica City Court Judge, an Oneida County Court Judge, and as a state Supreme Court Justice in the Fifth District. In addition, he also was a high ranking member of the Democratic Party and served SUNY IT on an advisory board.

“Judge Murad served this community with honor and distinction,” Picente said. “He was a committed public servant, and always carried a reputation as a man who did what he felt was the right thing to do. We will be lowering the flags this week to honor Judge Murad and his service to this community.”
