Oneida County COVID-19 Update for July 17, 2020

Here are the Oneida County COVID-19 case numbers as of 12 p.m.:

  • 38* new positive cases, 1,855 total.
    • *An increased number of positive cases are being reported today as a direct result of the free testing event conducted at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Utica on July 15. This increase is expected to continue to be reflected in the new positive cases over the next few days.
  • No new COVID-19-related deaths, 110 total.
  • 16 patients are hospitalized in Oneida County.
    • 15 MVHS
    • 1 Rome Memorial
  • 2 patients are hospitalized outside of Oneida County.
  • 6 of the patients hospitalized in county are nursing home residents receiving acute care.
    • 5 MVHS
    • 1 Rome Memorial
  • 218 active positive cases
  • 1,527 positive cases have been resolved.
  • 61,191 total negative results.
  • 63,046 total tests have been conducted.
  • Quarantine numbers will be unavailable until the Oneida County Health Department transitions from its internal reporting system to New York State’s. The quarantine numbers will be updated retroactively once that process is completed.
