Here are the Oneida County COVID-19 case numbers as of midnight on Dec. 2.

• 255 new positive cases, 5,547 total* (Upon further investigation, 3 positive cases were removed from the previous total.)
  • 12 nursing home residents.
• 2,059 active positive cases.
• 4 new COVID-19-related deaths, 154 total.
• 72 patients are hospitalized in Oneida County.
  
  • 59 at MVHS.
  • 13 at Rome Memorial.
    
    • 18 are nursing home residents.
• 7 patients are hospitalized out of county.
• 3,334 positive cases have been resolved.
• Total negative results not updated by NYS DOH as of 4 p.m.
• Total tests conducted not updated by NYS DOH as of 4 p.m.
• 2,059 in mandatory isolation.
• 1,116 in mandatory quarantine.
