2017 Oneida County State of County Address to be Live Streamed on Facebook

Picente launches Twitter account in conjunction with event

For the first time ever, Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr.’s State of the County Address will be live video streamed on Facebook when he delivers the speech Thursday March 2.

The public can watch the address in its entirety on the new Oneida County Government Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Oneida-County-Government-1349869085079102/.  Picente’s speech is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. The event will take place at Daniele’s Banquet Specialists in New Hartford.

In conjunction with the State of the County Address, Picente has also launched a Twitter account, and the public can receive updates on the event by following the county executive at https://twitter.com/AJPicenteJr and using #OCsoc17.

A new county executive Facebook page has been set up as well, in order to foster more communication with the public. It can be found at https://www.facebook.com/AnthonyPicenteCE/.

“In today’s world, social media has become the preferred method of communication for many of the people we serve, so I am happy to announce that we are strengthening that link between us and the public,” Picente said. “I am especially excited to live stream this year’s State of the County Address, as it will allow us to share our bold vision for the future of this region with Oneida County and beyond.”
