Women should start getting regular mammograms at the 40. Woman at high risk should start screening earlier than age 40. Talk to your doctor. Together, you and your doctor can decide what’s best for you.

Mammography and Breast Imaging Providers - Locations in Oneida County

If you haven’t been screened before or are overdue for a screening, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with your primary care provider. You can also seek services through mobile units in your county.

Upstate University Hospital

Upstate University Hospital offers breast cancer screening through a mobile mammography van. This mobile health clinic serves women in Oneida and surrounding counties. The mobile unit provides high-quality, low-dose, 3-D screening mammograms and the images are read by Upstate University Hospital's board-certified Women's Imaging radiologists.

Screening mammography on the mobile unit is available for women 40 and over with no recent breast complications. Women who are having problems with their breasts (lumps found, nipple discharge) should contact their physician to discuss options.

Bassett Healthcare Network
Bassett Healthcare Network is able to provide cancer screening services with a custom-built medical coach. The RV-type medical coach offers high-tech digital mammography , and other cancer screenings for men and women. The cancer screening services of the medical coach are available throughout Otsego, Oneida, Delaware, Chenango, Madison, Herkimer, Schoharie, Fulton, and Montgomery counties.

If a lack of health insurance or insurance with prohibitive co-pays is stopping you or someone you know from scheduling a cancer screening, please call the Cancer Services Program (CSP) at 1-888-345-0225 to schedule an appointment and learn more.

The Cancer Services Program of the Central Region provides breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer screenings and diagnostic services at NO COST to people who:

·Live in New York State
·Do not have health insurance
·Have health insurance with a cost share that may prevent a person from obtaining screening and/or diagnostic services
·Meet age requirements
