The Department of Family and Community Services (DFCS) provides information, advocacy, financial and social services to eligible residents of Oneida County in accordance with federal, state, and county laws. These services are provided with respect for each individual and concern for enhancing family functioning, reducing dependency, and maintaining children and adults in the community where possible.

The Department of Family and Community Services is comprised of the following divisions:
Department of Social Services
Enhancing family functioning, reducing dependency, and maintaining children and adults in the community.
Office for the Aging and Continuing Care
OFA provides our senior and disabled consumers with a broad spectrum of programs in an effort to maximize one's independence and autonomy.
Veterans’ Services
Oneida County Veterans’ Service Agency provides entitlement information and advocacy assistance to military personnel, military veterans, and to their dependents in matters relating to veteran’s law.
Youth Bureau
The Youth Bureau is a department created to provide access activities, programs and services to all youth under the age of 21.
