COVID-19 Testing Sites

Oneida County is TENTATIVELY scheduling booster vaccination PODs for Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The expected start date is pending FDA approval of booster shots. Appointments will be made available once FDA has approved and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends these boosters. Please continue to check this website for updates and appointments once they are made available. Oneida County will also issue a press release once booster shots have been approved to begin.

Third dose appointments are available now to individuals deemed eligible. CDC recommends a third dose of vaccine for people who are moderately or severely immunocompromised categorized by having one or more of the following:

  • Active treatment for solid tumor and hematologic malignancies.
  • Receipt of solid-organ transplant and taking immunosuppressive therapy.
  • Receipt of CAR-T-cell or hematopoietic stem cell transplant (within 2 years of transplantation or taking immunosuppression therapy).
  • Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (e.g., DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome).
  • Advanced or untreated HIV infection.
  • Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids (i.e., ≥20mg prednisone or equivalent per day), alkylating agents, antimetabolites, transplant-related immunosuppressive drugs, cancer chemotherapeutic agents classified as severely immunosuppressive, tumor-necrosis factor (TNF) blockers, and other biologic agents that are immunosuppressive or immunomodulatory.

Third doses of COVID-19 vaccines are given at least 28 days after the second dose of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.
