Nearly 1,000 Job Openings Available from Multiple Industries; Work Attire Donations Piling Up
With Oneida County’s OneidaWorks! career event is rapidly approaching, exhibitor spots are nearly full and work attire donations are pouring in as businesses from across the region look to fill nearly 1,000 job openings.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 21 at the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
“OneidaWorks! will be a career event unlike any other,” Picente said. “We are assembling a diverse assortment of employers from across Oneida County who need to fill 1,000 jobs right now. This is a golden opportunity for job seekers to capitalize upon, and I strongly encourage anyone who is looking for a new career path, interview training, resume building or work attire to attend.”
Limited exhibitor spots are still available, as nearly 50 organizations are confirmed for OneidaWorks! representing multiple industry sectors and position types, including the following:

A clothing drive seeking donations for the OneidaWorks! “Career Closet” was held this week by Oneida County employees, which pulled in a generous amount of business attire from all county facilities.
Public donations for the “Career Closet” are being accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second floor of 209 Elizabeth St. in Utica up until Oct. 19.
