People v. Michael Brown - Conviction Intergrity Review Panel
District Attorney Scott D. McNamara announced today that the Oneida County District Attorney’s Conviction Integrity Review Panel recently concluded its review of the 1995 conviction of Michael Brown, 45, of Utica. 

Car Larcenies
The Oneida County District Attorney’s Office in conjunction with the Oneida County Law Enforcement Coalition is seeking the public’s help in solving a number of car larcenies occurring throughout Oneida County, including several within the City of Utica.

William Richerson Case
William Richerson, of Fountain Street, Clinton, pled guilty in Oneida County Court Tuesday to felony aggravated cruelty to an animal and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.

DiNapoli, McNamara Pension Fraud Investigation Results in Conviction of Double-Dipping Retired Rome Police Officer
Criminal double dipping uncovered by State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli’s investigators and Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara’s office has resulted in the conviction of former Rome police officer Thomas C. Hubal, who pleaded guilty to third degree grand larceny.  He is expected to serve six months incarceration, five years probation, and must repay the more than $88,000 he stole from the State and Local Retirement System associated with double dipping.

OPERATION PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Oneida County District Attorney, Scott D. McNamara, Oneida County Executive, Anthony J. Picente,Jr., and New York State Police Captain Mark Lincoln, announced today that a recent review of outstanding felony DWI fines in Oneida County Court revealed that in just over a ten year time period (1999-present), over 350 individuals currently account for approximately 420 unpaid DWI fines totaling over $750,000.
