Office of the County Clerk
The office of Oneida County Clerk is mandated by the State Constitution and the Clerk is an elected official representing all of Oneida County.
The Office of the Oneida County Clerk is charged with four main functions:
Office of the Registrar – filing official documents including land and court records
Department of Naturalization – offers a multitude of services including: notary, commissioner of deeds, passport, naturalization services and our most popular program our passport photo service.
Department of Motor Vehicles with offices in Utica and Rome.
Regional Records Center - cares for Oneida County's historical documents. This office houses a number of services geared toward historical research.
