Picente: Oneida County Plans Summer Youth Job Outreach On April 16th at MVCC in Rome

Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. today announced that Oneida County Workforce Development will be holding an outreach session for the 2009 Oneida County Summer Youth Employment Program on Thursday, April 16th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the atrium of the Plumley Building at MVCC’s Rome Campus.

Picente: Oneida County Expands ‘Healthy Neighborhoods’ into Rome

Picente, Jr. today announced the expansion of Oneida County’s Healthy Neighborhoods Program, which focuses on health and safety issues in the home, to include sections of the City of Rome.  The program had previously targeted ‘at risk’ areas of Utica’s Cornhill and West Utica only.

Picente: ‘Green’ Window Replacement Partnership With GroWest Will Reduce Lead, Save Energy

Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Jr. today announced a window replacement project that will partner the county’s Lead Primary Prevention Pilot Program and Utica-based GroWest, Inc., targeting designated areas of Cornhill and West Utica that are at ‘high risk’ for lead poisoning. 

Picente: $1.18 Million in Recovery Act Funds Will Provide Training to Oneida County Residents

Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Jr., today announced that Oneida County’s Office of Workforce Development will be receiving $1.18 million through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to fund training for Oneida County residents.
