Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Jr., today announced that the Gillmore Village Technology Center, a collaborative project between the Oneida County Office of Workforce Development and the Utica Municipal Housing Authority, will host a seminar on money management on Thursday, October 8th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The financial management seminar will be presented by Oneida County Cooperative Extension.
The seminar is free and open to all community residents.
“The outstanding partnership we have developed between our Office of Workforce Development and the MHA to operate the Community Technology Center at Gillmore Village allows us to provide programs that address the needs of community residents,” Picente said. “In this economy, and with winter coming on, it is an excellent time to implement some money-saving strategies. Cooperative Extension has an outstanding track record in helping families manage their resources. I hope that the residents of Gillmore Village, and anyone else in the neighborhood and community who wants to take advantage of this program, will attend.”
The Gillmore Village Technology Center offers a wide range of programs and services to residents of the Gillmore Village housing project and community residents. The Technology Center provides classes in computer use, computer access, and assistance in helping resident find employment and training.
