District Attorney McNamara: Rome Man and Women Arrested for Sex Offenses

District Attorney Scott D. McNamara reported today that a Rome man and women were arrested by investigators assigned to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center on April 8th as a result of an investigation into a prostitution and rape complaint involving a 15 year old victim.

Michael H. Schwartz Sr., of Floyd Ave in Rome was charged with Rape in the 3rd degree, a Class E Felony, Toniqua S. Carter also of Floyd Ave in Rome was charged with Promoting Prostitution in the 2nd degree, a Class C Felony.

Further court proceedings are pending.
